ABOUT Y.W.R.A.P.
Vision: To improve the overall quality of life of young women; which will allow them to be empowered and to believe in themselves; setting positive goals for themselves and successfully accomplishing them.
Mission: To reach out to young women and encourage, motivate, educate, and empower them. To help create and establish goals, taking the necessary steps to accomplish them. Through guidance and direction, instilling hope, helping them to believe in themselves, overcoming challenges of adolescence and become successful young women in society.
Motto: Nothing is impossible. For I can conquer the impossible. Through determination, motivation, perseverance and believing in myself; all things I set my mind to are accomplishable.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is that "It takes a village to raise a child" and it takes one person to make a change. If we can plant positive seeds into a youth girls life and continue to water it, eventually a flower will blossom!
Our History
Y.W.R.A.P. is a program that was established in April 2016. The program is conducting groups which are held every 3rd Monday of each month at Rusty's Pizza on Ming and Ashe, 6675 Ming Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93309, Bakersfield, CA 93301. Groups are held on these days for girls ages 10-18 from 5:30p.m. to 7:30p.m.
