My name is Niesha Davis, MSW, LCSW, CEO and founder of YWRAP. I was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA, and I love my community. I have been working and helping individuals, children, and families for over 20 years in the field of Human Services and Social Work, within Kern County. I have experience in many areas such as: Child Protective Services, group homes, family resource centers, worked with children with developmental disabilities, single mothers, worked as a medical social worker with patients/families on Hospice, and as well as working within the legal system in corrections. From that experience and from working within my local church as a previous youth director, and Sunday school teacher; is what led to my passion for working with youth and working with women. My desire and goal for developing YWRAP is to help youth girls to learn to love themselves, instill hope in them, motivate them, encourage them and teach them how to become productive, successful women in society. I believe that if we plant positive seeds, and continue to water them, eventually a harvest will grow.
